Loretta Mae Janes, 79, of Port Arthur, Texas, died on July 15, 2011, at her home. Loretta was a former Newton resident, where she was a member of First Nazarene Church.

She was born on Nov. 12, 1931, in Augusta to Ervin and Tina Moser. Loretta had lived in Texas for the past 10 years and was a charter member of Wesleyan Lighthouse Church in Groves, Texas.

She is survived by four daughters, Deena (Ken) Triggs, and Vicky (Marvin) Senn, all of Port Arthur, Kayla (Steve) Jones of Milford, Calif., and Melanie (John) Adams of Grandview, Mo.; one son, Kenneth Stringer (Norma) of Whitewater; one sister, Sue Bright of Newton; and two brothers, Neil Moser of Wichita, and Bob Moser of Arizona; 13 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leonard Janes.

A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Grace Baptist Church near Whitewater. Private burial will be later.
