Obituary
Courtney Eileen Kloster 34, passed away
unexpectedly Tuesday (June 13, 2017). She was born November 10, 1982,
in Wayne, Nebraska, to Phil and Eileen (Zuehlke) Kloster. Courtney
was a graduate of Townview High School in Dallas, Texas, Hutchinson
Community College and she earned a Bachelors in Arts in Social Work
at Wichita State University. Courtney was slated to begin graduate
school at WSU in the fall.
Courtney's tenacity, kind soul and
beautiful infectious smile were just a few of her greatest
attributes. One could rarely win a debate against her. Courtney was
an avid animal lover who, if allowed ,would have rescued every cat
from the humane society. She also had a deep love of penguins and was
anticipating her upcoming September wedding to her fiancé, Greg
Martinez, at the Tanganyika Wildlife Park near Goddard.
Courtney is survived by her fiancé,
Greg Martinez of Newton; mother, Eileen Kloster of Newton; father,
Phil (Merryl) Kloster of Mansfield, Texas; sisters Brenda (Glenn)
Bruneau of Omaha, Nebraska; Stephanie (Kendall) Winter of Peabody;
Greta (Jesse) Sandoval of Newton; Shannon Kloster and Freddy Perez of
Olathe; brother, Paul Kloster of Mesquite, Texas; nephews, Grant
Bruneau, Carter Bruneau, Zachary Stephey, Mason Bruneau; nieces: Mya
Winter, Olivia Sandoval, Isabel Sandoval, and Adyson Winter. She is
also survived by several loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday
(June 19, 2017) at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church with The
Reverend Donna Voteau presiding. Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m.
Sunday (June 18, 2017) at Petersen Funeral Home with the family
receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Private
family inurnment with be in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
Memorials are suggested to Tanganyika
Wildlife Park or Trinity Heights United Methodist Church in care of
Petersen Funeral Home.
