Betty Jean Elisabeth Jost, 94, of Austin, Texas, passed away on June 22, 2017.
She was born on November 12, 1922, to the late Leonhard and Emelia (Schroeder) Bartel in Newton. She married the love of her life, Kenneth C. Jost Sr., on October 23, 1943.
Betty will be mourned, remembered fondly and loved beyond measure by her two children, Kenneth C. Jost, Jr. and wife Norma and Carl E. Jost; as well as her two grandchildren, Daniel L. Jost and Michael R. Jost. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Jost Sr.; and son, David A. Jost.
An informal remembrance will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. July 8 at the Renaissance General Purpose Room (second floor), 11279 Taylor Draper Lane, Austin, TX 78759. Burial will follow in September at the Haven of Rest Cemetery in Hillsboro. The family is deeply grateful to Encompass Home Health, Capital Medical Clinic, Heart Hospital of Austin and Renaissance-Austin Holiday Retirement for their devoted care.
