Fawn Wilson
Obituary
Fawn Renee Wilson, 43, of Ottawa,
passed away July 5, 2017. She was the daughter of Calvin and Marianne
Tedder of Newton.
She leaves behind her brother, Brett
Tedder of Overland Park; her son, Anthony Tedder of Ottawa; and
granddaughter, Ava Tedder of Ottawa. She is preceded in death by her
grandparents, Howard and Doris Tedder of Newton; grandparents Marion
Raymond "Ray" and Maxine Jones of Halstead; and aunts and
uncles, Robert "Bob" and Nancy Bryant of Newton, Phylis
Tedder of Hesston, Barry Tedder of Newton, Michael Jones of Halstead
and wife Faye Jones (Bisnoi) of Newton and Mitchell Jones of
Halstead.
Fawn was born on Jan. 31, 1974, in
Newton. She spent her grade school years in Newton. She attended
middle school and high school in California. She was a long-time
resident of Ottawa, finishing high school there and completing a
two-year degree in computer science at Johnson County Community
College in Kansas City, Kansas, as well as an undergraduate degree in
health administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe.
Recently, she completed a master's degree in health administration
from American University. Fawn loved to learn and had a wide-ranging
interest in electronics, computer science and health care.
Fawn was happiest being at home,
surrounded by family and friends. She was a long-time fan of the
Chiefs and hosted many dinners in her home. She loved to cook and
enjoyed feeding family and friends. Fawn loved animals and had
numerous pets over the years. She enjoyed camping and fishing, as
well as outdoor activities when she was young.
Fawn worked for a variety of call
centers, including Ferrall's Gas and General Dynamics within the
Health Exchanges/Medicare and Medicaid sections and the VA Hospital
in Topeka. In recent years, she worked from home. She was known for
her extensive knowledge, love of learning and often helped train and
support her co-workers.
Her deep spiritual nature always shone
through in her love of her expressed faith and those around her. She
often reached out to people with a helping hand and all that knew her
appreciated her compassion and giving spirit.
A memorial service will be held at 3
p.m. Saturday (July 15, 2017) at the RiverPoint Church, 722 N. Main,
Newton. A potluck dinner will be held beginning at 6 p.m. at the home
of Loren and Lori Tedder, 220 E. 23rd St., Newton. Her remains will
be buried in the Halstead Cemetery.
We will always carry Fawn's memory in
our hearts. Her kindness, compassion and presence will always be with
us. We will not cry that it happened, but celebrate that we had the
opportunity of knowing her and the promise we will be reunited in our
heavenly home. We look forward to her hugs, her beautiful smile and
finding her surrounded by loving family and friends to comfort her
and rejoice with us.
