Lois F. Wulf
Obituary
Lois F. Wulf, 96, died on Tuesday (Oct. 11, 2011) in
Wichita.
She was born on June 7, 1915, in rural Anderson County to
Murry and Fannie (Lambert) Defenbaugh. They preceded her in death.
She graduated from Wichita East High School in 1935. After
graduation, she worked for the Wichita school district as a secretary.
She married Alfred Wulf on May 29, 1940, in Garnett. Alfred
was a farmer in the Cheney area. In the mid 1940s, they moved to Halstead, and
in 1951, they moved to Newton, where they were long-term residents.
She was deeply loved by her children and grandchildren. She
was truly a "Mom and Grandma" to her family.
She is survived by a son, Cecil and Susan Wulf of Wichita;
daughter, Barbara Killingsworth of Chandler, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred H. Wulf;
parents, Murry and Fannie Defenbaugh; son, Ronnie Wulf; brother, Glenn
Defenbaugh (infant); and great-grandchild, Kaylee Ann Wulf.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran
Church in Newton. Christian burial will follow the service at Restlawn Gardens
of Memory in Newton.
A memorial has been set up for the Zion Lutheran Church, in
care of Petersen Funeral Home.
