Dr. William S. Spicer Jr.
BALTIMORE -- Dr. William S. Spicer Jr.
died April 16, 2000, in Baltimore. He was a professor in school of
medicine at University of Maryland. He was born in Kansas City, Mo.
He married Evelyn Lucille Vogt, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Marcus M. "Mox" Vogt of Hesston. His wife survives of
Baltimore. He was a member of many medical associations and boards
and a consultant for the University of California, University of
Puerto Rico, Veterans Administration, U. S. Public Health Service,
National Academy of Science and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
He graduated from the University of
Kansas Medical School. He served in the armed forces in Korea from
1953 to 1954. He lived in Baltimore since 1954.
Other survivors include: one son,
William S Spicer III of Baltimore; three daughters, Constance
Zimmerman of Bivalve, Md., Marianna Spicer-Brooks of St. Simons
Island, Ga., and Catherine Tolliver of Richardson, Texas; three
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a. m.
Thursday at Hesston Cemetery with the Rev. Ronald Rich of Hesston
United Methodist Church officiating.
Miller Funeral Home in Hesston is in
charge of local arrangements.
