Obituary
Rebecca Berniece Reimer, 91, died at her home on Sunday
(Oct. 23, 2011) in Newton.
She was born on April 26, 1920, in Creston, Mont., to Norman
and Anna (Snyder) Kauffman.
She married Adolf "Gus" Reimer on Aug. 24, 1946.
He preceded her in death on July 18, 2007.
Rebecca "Berniece" Reimer was a homemaker and a
member of First Mennonite Church of Newton.
She is survived by two sons, Francis (Jaci) Reimer and Greg
Reimer; daughter, Nadine Reimer (Patrick Cook); grandchildren, Tyler (Cindy)
Reimer, Ethan Reimer, Owen Reimer, Ingrid Cook, Shaela Reimer and Ella Reimer;
and two great-grandchildren, Ashlea and Mathiew Reimer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolf
"Gus" Reimer; parents; and daughter, Cynthia Bernice Reimer.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Petersen
Funeral Home in Newton, with family present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First
Mennonite Church in Newton.
Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Hospice,
Nurture Commission at First Mennonite Church or Newton Meals on Wheels, in care
of Petersen Funeral Home of Newton.
