Lucille Stucky
Martha "Lucille" (Andres/Schroeder) Stucky, 87,
died on Nov. 13, 2011, at Newton Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 15, 1924,
to Peter and Susie (Wiebe) Schroeder in Newton. They preceded her in death.
Lucille was married to Willis Gus Andres in 1943 in Newton. He preceded her in
death. She met and married Curtis L. Stucky in 1994 in Newton. Curtis resides
in Hesston. Lucille graduated from Newton High School and was a longtime member
of First Mennonite Church in Newton.
She is survived by three daughters, Janice E. Swickard of
Newton, Judy K. Kruse of Paso Robles, Calif., and Jane E. Powers of Farmington,
N.M.; two sisters, Mary Louise Cleavinger of Amarillo, Texas, and Phyllis
Huntington of Sun City, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and seven
great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her sister, Ella Fitch.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood
Cemetery in Newton.
