Hilda Jones
Obituary
Hilda Mae Jones, 95, passed away on
Tuesday (Aug. 8, 2017) in Newton. She was born in Gotebo, Oklahoma,
to Claude Henry Blanchard and Beulah (Colter) Blanchard. She married
the love of her life, Charles W. Jones.
She worked in the early 50s as a Beech
Aircraft clerk, then in the 60s as a Bethel Home head clerk, where
she retired from in the mid-70s.
After retirement, Charles and Hilda
loved traveling in their motorhome to the lake, where they enjoyed
fishing, camping and enjoying nature. She loved holidays, cookouts
and time spent with her family, along with her best friend Sophia
Josephine Loren.
She is survived by her children:
Charles (Lydia) Jones, Carol Mae (Leonard) Jones and Janice E. Jones;
grandchildren: Jimmy Jones, Amy Buller, Scott Buller, Kannie
Eckhardt, Lisa (Tony) Lansing and Crystal Khan; great-grandchildren:
Ashley Eckhardt, Austin Eckhardt, Morgan Lansing, Bryce Lansing,
Chase Lansing, Connor Johnson, Sophia Johnson and Brian Stewart; and
many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, Charles W. Jones; son, Dwight W. Jones; grandson, Gilbert
Jones; and brother, William Henry Blanchard.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Saturday
(Aug. 12, 2017) at the Walnut Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery, 725
Boyer Road, El Dorado.
