Obituary
Lois E. Stewart, 92, died Thursday
(Aug. 10, 2017) at Newton Presbyterian Manor. She was born Dec. 22,
1924, in rural Hesston to Phillip and Lina (Nebergall) Wedemeyer. She
married Robert R. "Bob" Stewart on Sept. 13, 1962, and he
preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1987. She was a graduate of Newton
High School.
Lois was a member of First Baptist
Church in Newton, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a supporter of
the Caring Hands Humane Society. Prior to her retirement, Lois worked
as a court clerk for Judges Sturm and Reed at the Harvey County
Courthouse. She looked forward to spending time with her family
during family gatherings and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother
and friend to many.
Lois is survived by her son, Mark B.
Stewart and his wife Teena of Pineville, Missouri; and
daughter-in-law Julie Stewart of Lehigh. She is also survived by five
grandchildren: Tisha Green, Bryan, Daniel, Reanna and Dylan Stewart;
eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She is preceded in death by her
parents; husband; and one son, Robb Stewart.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday
(Aug. 14, 2017) at Hesston City Cemetery, with Pastor Chip Bungard
presiding. Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 13, 2017) at
Petersen Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 2 to
3:30 p.m.

Funeral Home.
