Obituary

Frank W. Musser, 76, lifelong Newton resident, died on Wednesday (Nov. 16, 2011) at Via Christi St Francis in Wichita. He was born on July 2, 1935, to Russell Gilkey and Bertha Louise (Sattler) Musser. Frank married Sharon Lee Base on Feb. 17, 1961, at the United Methodist Church in Sedgwick. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where he served as sexton for many years. Frank retired from the former Hay and Forage as a tool and die maker. Survivors include his wife Sharon of the home; a daughter, Rebecca Jolene Orth Musser of Amarillo, Texas; a son, Murray Lee Musser, and daughter-in law Crystal Lee Wolfe of Branson, Mo.; two sisters, Maxine R. Hall of Atlantic, Iowa, and Betty A. Demain of Omaha, Neb.; four brothers, Wayne M.

Musser of Torrence, Calif., and Marvin D. Musser, Alvin R Musser and Lloyd D. Musser, all of Newton; four grandchildren, Wade and Gabrielle Musser Orth, and KarRee L. and Kamden L. Musser; and five step grand children, Karysa Cizek, and Kassey, Kallea, Kristofer and Kooper Krutsinger.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Chad Eston Musser; a grandson, Cody Lynn Orth; and a sister, Jean Louise Wiens.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton with the family receiving friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Aaron Filipek presiding.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
