Obituary
Robert Edwin "Bob" Brown, 89,
died Wednesday (Aug. 16, 2017) at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. He was
born Feb. 17, 1928, in Ames, Iowa.
He graduated from Ames High School in
1946 and Phillips University with his bachelor's degree and his
Masters of Divinity. Bob became an ordained minister in June of 1950
in Ames. Bob pastored churches for nearly 43 years.
He married Wilma Potee on July 30,
1950. She survives.
Other survivors include sons, David
(LeeAnn) Brown, El Reno, Oklahoma, and Jim (Stephanie) Brown,
Augusta; daughter, Cindy (Randall) Loucks, Hesston; eight
grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson,
Stacy Schwartz.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday (Aug. 19, 2017) at Whitestone Mennonite Church, Hesston. A
private family burial will take place at a later time. Visitation
will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to the
First Christian Church of Newton or the First Christian Church of
Parsons, both in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Hesston.
