Harry P McCullough, Jr
Harry P. McCullough Jr., 56, 425-A SE 11th, salesman, died
unexpectedly Monday, May 10, at Kerrville, Tex.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Newton
Assembly of God Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Paul Witten will
officiate. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Paola
Cemetery.
He was born March 10, 1926, at Paola, Kan., the son of Harry
P. and Edna Doty McCullough. On July 13, 1945, he married Naomi Smith at Paola.
They came to Newton from Paola in 1960.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, the Rev.
H. Paul McCullough III of Detroit, Mich.; one daughter, Cheryl A. (Mrs.
Kenneth) Wescott of Overland Park; one brother, John R. of Bangkok, Thailand;
two sisters, Mari Lou Saunders of Merriam, Kan., and Carol Cline of Russell;
and one grandchild.
Friends may call at Peterson's Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to
9 p.m. Wednesday. A memorial has been established for the church. Memorial
gifts may be left with the staff at the funeral home.
