Herbert John Schulze
Obituary
Herbert John Schulze, 92, died on Thursday (July 1, 2010) at
Newton Medical Center.
He was born on July 1, 1918, in Newton to Oscar and Marie
Schulze.
Herbert served in the Army in World War II with the 474th
Infantry Regiment on the Aleutian Islands in Alaska, in Italy, in Southern
France and in Central Europe.
In 1945, he married Yulah (Ross) Schulze, and to this union
were born their beloved sons, Jim and John.
He worked in Newton as a mill worker at the Old Mill, for
American Coach building mobile homes and as a janitor at North Dillons.
He is survived by his sons, Jim and John Schulze of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yulah; and his
parents.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Petersen
Funeral Home in Newton.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Zion
Lutheran Church in Newton, with the Rev. Aaron Filipek officiating.
Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Newton.
Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in
care of the funeral home.
