Edward H. Kater
NORTH NEWTON - Edward H. Kater, 96, died Sept. 18, 2010. He
was born May 27, 1914, to William F. and Minnie Green Kater.
On Oct. 24, 1937, he married Esther M. Dunham. She died June
4, 2010. Survivors include: a son, Larry; daughters, Carol Gronau, Donna
Krehbiel and Arlene Anthony; a sister, Florence Rosier; nine grandchildren; and
12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside Committal Service 10 a.m. Tuesday in Greenwood
Cemetery, Newton. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at Petersen Funeral Home,
Newton, with family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials to
Kidron-Bethel or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the funeral home.
