Alvin Levi Dalke

Alvin Levi Dalke, 86, died April 22, 2010, in Kingsburg.

He was born on Sept. 25, 1923, in Henderson, Neb., to Peter and Agnes Ediger Dalke.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Adina Funk Dalke, in 1998. Adina and Alvin had made their home in Newton, where Alvin had a salvage business for many years.

Alvin and Adina were charter members of Koerner Heights Mennonite Brethren Church.

In 2002, he married Glenna Wahl and moved with her to California.

He is survived by his wife, Glenna Dalke; a sister, Alma (Mitzie) Baker of Williamsburg, Mich.; two daughters, Ruth Krause of Shawnee and Edee Dalke, in the Mediterranean crewing on a small sailboat until summer 2011; and two grandchildren, Benjamin and Catherine Anya Krause.

Services and burial were on Tuesday in Selma, Calif.
