Obituary
Ernest Pankratz Jr., 67, died Tuesday (March 30, 2010) at
Hays Medical Center.
He was born on April 28, 1943, in Goessel, the son of Ernest
and Ruth Janzen Pankratz.
He had worked as a welder for Hesston Corp. in Hesston for
three years.
He married Nancy Howard in 1967 in Kansas City, Mo; she
preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughter, Sharon (Bob) Procter of Chanute;
sisters, Lois (Lloyd) Musser of Newton, Diane (Kerwin) Voth of Halstead,
Barbara (G.D.) Jost of Hesston, Judy Schroeder of Marion, and June (Don)
Hiebert of Goessel; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Darrel
Ratzlaff; and a brother-in-law, Jay Dean Schroeder.
The family will greet friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at
Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Alexanderwohl
Mennonite Church in Goessel with Pastor Linda Ewert officiating. Burial will
follow in the Alexanderwohl Church Cemetery.
