Obituary
Evelyn Reimer, 79, died Saturday (April 17, 2010) at Newton
Medical Center in Newton.
She was born on Feb. 21, 1931, in Claremore, Okla., to
Lester and Marie Lee Barton.
She had worked as the assistant administrator at the Harvey
County Courthouse until she retired on March 31, 1995.
She was a member of Goessel Mennonite Church.
On Sept. 9, 1951, she married Richard Reimer in Goessel. He
passed away on Sept. 28, 2007.
Other survivors include one son, James of Canton; one
daughter, Nancy Baumen of Maumelle, Ark.; one brother, Virgil of Wichita; two
sisters, Norma Foiles of Newton and Neva Reimer of Augusta; and four
grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today with the family
greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Miller-Ott Funeral Home in Goessel.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Goessel
Mennonite Church with Pastor Mike Hiebert presiding. Burial will follow in the
Goessel Mennonite Church Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Goessel Mennonite Church
in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 303 E. Main St., Goessel, KS 67053.
