Carol A. Terbovich
Carol A. Terbovich, 69, died Saturday (Feb. 27, 2010) at
Newton Medical Center.
She was born on June 13, 1940, in Marceline, Mo., to William
J. and Dorothy M. (Oldham) Baskett.
On Oct. 17, 1958, she married Melvin Terbovich in Kansas
City, Kan. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1989.
She worked at Hesston Corp. for 17 years. She also worked at
Braum's and Alco, both in Newton.
Carol enjoyed going to garage sales and walking in Wal-Mart.
She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and grandchildren.
Survivors include four daughters, Tammy Smith of Newton,
Marie and Robert Walker of Newton, Peggy Terbovich of Blue Springs, Mo., and
Sharon and Randy Graybeal of Gridley; two sons, Bill and Phyllis Terbovich of
Newton, and Alan and Kathy Terbovich of Newton; a sister, Clora Justvig of
Racine, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie R.
Terbovich; her parents; brother, Allen Baskett; granddaughter, Michelle;
great-granddaughter, Ashley; and son-in-law, Jay Smith.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Petersen
Funeral Home in Newton, with family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home with Pastor Buddy Aldridge of Columbus Avenue Church of Christ in
Newton officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Memorials have been established with Caring Hands Humane
Society in Newton or the Salvation Army Service Center on Sixth Street in
Newton, both in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
