Obituary
October Shilts, the beautiful daughter
of Sam and Ashley (Pearce) Shilts, was born into the arms of angels
on Friday (Sept. 29, 2017) at Newton Medical Center. Born at 35
weeks, she weighed 4 lbs., 3 oz. and was 18 inches long. While
October did not spend time on earth, she touched many lives. She is
deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her
grandpa, Buck Shilts; and great-grandparents, Homer Wedel and Vivian
and Richard Shilts.
She leaves behind her adoring family,
who will always love her, including parents, Sam and Ashley;
grandparents, Randy and Lynette Pearce of Wamego and Carla Shilts of
Moundridge; great-grandparents: JD and Marjorie Pearce of Burrton,
Duane and Leola Little of Douglass and Marie Wedel of Moundridge;
aunts and uncles: Aimee and Clay Bastian of Volga, South Dakota,
Annie and Justin Beyer of Burlington and Luke and Katie Shilts of
Greeley, Colorado; cousins: Taylor, Reese, Ava, Lila, Eve and Eden;
and other loving family and friends.
A private memorial service for family
was held Monday (Oct. 2, 2017) in Moundridge.
Ashley and Sam would like to express
their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Newton Medical Center for the
compassion and care they experienced during this sorrowful time. A
special thank you especially to Dr. Sobbing, Morgan, Taylor and
Shayna.
