John W. Krehbiel
John W. Krehbiel, eldest son of the late Rev. Chris Krehbiel passed away early today at the Bethel Home for the Aged at the age of 78 years and his passing leaves a void in the hearts of many people with whom he has come in contact in his milling business at Moundridge which he built up during a susccessful career of nearly fifty years.
Besides being a good business man he was a fine Christian gentleman and friend and neighbor. He was reared with his father's large family in Halstead, had contacts in Newton and vicinity and belonged to his neighbors in Moundridge in his church and business life.
His funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at the West Zion church at Moundridge and burial will be beside his wife and son, Carl who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Nelson of Moundridge, who is carrying on the business and one daughter, Celia (Mrs. Orlando Goerz) of California. Of his father's family, his two sisters, Mrs. R.A. Goerz and Mrs. Katie Ewert and his six brothers, H.P., B.P., C.E., L.P., Paul and Ed, are left.
More detailed announcements will be made as developed.
