Mary Zimmer
Obituary
Mary Alice Zimmer, 83, of Kissimmee,
Florida, passed away on Sept. 20, 2017, after a lengthy struggle with
dementia. She was born on Dec. 26, 1933, in Newton to Charles Raymond
and Minnie Mae Hege, who are deceased. She resided in Kissimmee,
Florida. Mary Alice worked hard all her life and retired from the
State of Florida, where she worked in administration.
Mary Alice loved cooking for her
extended family, as well as reading and crocheting. She believed her
greatest treasure in life was her family. She will be remembered as a
loving and devoted wife, mother and sister.
She was predeceased by her husband,
Earhart (Joe) Zimmer, who passed on April 18, 2017; and her son,
Raymond Eugene Zimmer, who passed on Sept. 30, 2015.
She is survived by four children:
Stephanie Diane Nelson, Thomas Leroy Zimmer, Kathy Jo Wilde and Cindy
Lynne Young; there are also 10 grandchildren and 15
great-grandchildren.
Mary Alice had nine siblings, of which
four are living: brother, Richard Raymond Hege; and sisters, Elsie
Kay Challans, Delores Faye Sexauer and Ruth Ann Cole.
Her deceased siblings include brothers,
Donald Gene Hege and Kenneth Earl Hege; and sisters: Betty Lou Lea,
Charlene May Ridelinger and Linda Dianne Bemiss.
Mary leaves us all with a lifetime of
cherished memories. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
In celebration of her life, there will
be a graveside service for Mary Alice at 2 p.m. Friday (Oct. 6, 2017)
at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Kissimmee.
