Bessie M. Clark
Bessie M. Clark, 92, died Friday (Jan. 29, 2010) at Newton
Medical Center.
She was born on Nov. 16, 1917, in Milo to Herman and Anna
(Rittel) Moegling.
She married T.A. (Bud) Clark on May 5, 1942, in Seneca. He
died on March 26, 1988.
Bessie previously held a membership with First Presbyterian
Church in Dalhart, Texas. They moved to Dalhart in 1942 and then moved to
Newton in 1962.
She had a great collection of dolls. Before her husband's
death, they enjoyed camping and fishing.
Bessie enjoyed her family and especially the grandchildren.
She had a great sense of humor that will be missed.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Decker and her husband
Earl of Newton; brother, Fred Moegling of El Paso, Texas; sister, Mildred Tyler
of Topeka; three grandsons, Brendan Decker and wife Mickie of Douglass, Jarrod
Decker of Newton and Aaron Harrod and Shannon of Goddard; three
great-grandchildren, Brett, Chance and Katelynn Harrod; two nieces, Terri Tyler
and Meredith Lyons; and a nephew, Dale M. Moegling.
Bessie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a
daughter, Sandra Harrod; grandson, Troy Yoke; and sister Alice Resch.
The funeral service was at 10 a.m. today at Broadway
Colonial Funeral Home in Newton with Chaplain Janine Arnold presiding,
Burial will be at Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton.
Memorials may be made to the Newton Relay for Life or First
United Methodist Church.
