Obituary
Gerald W. Loomis, 79, of Newton, died
Saturday (September 30, 2017) in Newton.
He was born on December 29, 1937, in
Newton, the son of Preston and Nelle Brechbill Loomis. Gerry
graduated from Newton High School in 1955.
He served as a Sheriff Deputy for the
Harvey County Sheriff's Office for several years, retiring in 2003.
Survivors include his children Faith
Loomis of Newton, Brad Hall of Newton, Todd Hall of Wichita, Craig
Hall of Clearwater, and Stephanie Regier of Goessel; brother Preston
"Moe" Loomis of Lyons; six grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.
Gerry is preceded in death by his
parents; brother Marlow "Bob" Loomis; and sister Vivian
Cook.
Visitation with the family will be 6 to
9 p.m. Wednesday (October 11, 2017) at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established with
the Key Life Network and Fresenius Kidney Care of Wichita.
