Marie J. Guhr
Marie J. Guhr, 95, died Wednesday (Jan. 6, 2010) at Kidron
Bethel Village in North Newton.
She was born on July 17, 1914, to John and Maria Jantz
Bartel in Hillsboro.
She was a registered nurse.
She married Henry Guhr on July 11, 1943, in Hillsboro. He
died on April 18, 1995.
Survivors include two sons, Leon D. (Virginia) Guhr of
Moundridge and Royce A. (Marge) Guhr of Independence; two daughters, Wanda
(Jeff) Justesen of Hartford, Conn., and Rita (George) Rogers of Newton; seven
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at West Zion Mennonite
Church, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at West Zion
Mennonite Church in Moundridge. A committal service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday
at Lehigh Mennonite Cemetery in Lehigh.
Memorial donations may be given to Kidron Bethel Village or
Hospice Care of Kansas, both in care of Moundridge Funeral Home.
