Elizabeth 'Betty' M. Crabb
LAWRENCE - Elizabeth "Betty" M. Crabb, 83,
formerly of Moundridge, died Monday (Dec. 21, 2009) at Presbyterian Manor in
Lawrence. The youngest of 16 children, she was born Feb. 10, 1926, in
Moundridge, the daughter of John J. and Elizabeth (Zerger) Goering. Betty
attended Bethel College in North Newton. She was a homemaker and a piano
teacher. She was a member of Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge and served as
an accompanist there. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother. She married Harry Edward Crabb on June 21, 1945, in
Moundridge. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Dr. R. Paul Crabb and wife,
Ginny, Columbia, Mo; two daughters, Janeal Crabb Krehbiel and husband, Randall
K., Lawrence, and Marilyn Epp and husband, E. Laverne, Lawrence; a brother,
Lloyd V. Goering, Hesston; seven grandchilden, Melissa Krehbiel, Heather
McDonough, Tyler Epp, Paul Epp, Susie Epp, Erin Crabb and Lindsey Crabb; and
three great-grandchildren, Grace, Brooke and Griffin McDonough.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eden
Mennonite Church in Moundridge.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Heart of
America Hospice or the Lawrence Children's Choir in Lawrence, the Eden Church
Chancel and Men's Choirs and Voices of Prometheus of Columbia, Mo. These
