Phillip Irvin Fiene

Phillip Irvin Fiene, 50, of Newton, died Thursday (Dec. 24, 2009) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born on Jan. 15, 1959, to John and Bea Fiene in Newton. Phil graduated from Newton High School in 1977. He was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting and fishing were his passions, and were only surpassed by his love for his daughters, parents and a sister. He held a membership with Eastside United Methodist Church in Newton. Phil had worked for Avcon of Newton for many years.

Survivors include his parents, John and Bea of Newton; three daughters, Tamara Antoine and Elizabeth Antoine, both of Newton, and Andria (Antoine) Christiansen and husband Jeff of Wichita; a sister, Shari Fiene Miller and her husband Chris of San Diego; and a niece, Kyana Miller.

Preceding him in death were his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation was from 10 to 11 a.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Eastside United Methodist Church in Newton.

Burial will be at Restlawn Garden of Memories in Newton.
