Obituary
Elvin Monroe Selzer, 98, died Sunday
(Oct. 22, 2017). He was born on Dec. 6, 1918, to Monroe and Lottie
(Weaver) Selzer in Canton. On Dec. 12, 1948, he married Bertha
Sommerfeld. She preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 2010.
He is survived by three daughters:
Diane Helmuth (Ken), Morton, Illinois, Donna Stokes, Morton,
Illinois, and Janet Bootman (Bob), Denver; five grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren.
One sister, Elta Diets, preceded him in
death.
A Celebration of Life will take place
on Thursday (Oct. 26, 2017) at 10 a.m. in the Schowalter Villa
Chapel, Hesston. The family will greet friends from 9:15 a.m. until
service time. A private burial will be held at Eastlawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Schowalter
Villa Good Samaritan Fund in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home,
Hesston.
