Theodore Edwin 'Ted' Jones II
Theodore Edwin 'Ted' Jones II, 61, retired farmer and tree
trimmer, died Thursday (Oct. 15, 2009) at Via Christi Regional Medical
Center-St. Francis campus in Wichita. He was born on Aug. 7, 1948, in
Hutchinson to Theodore Edwin and Martha (Armstrong) Jones. He was a member of
Burrton United Methodist Church and a USD 369 School Board member for 26 years,
and he served on the Burrton Township and Burrton Housing Authority boards.
Survivors include sons, Theodore Edwin Jones III of Burrton and Timothy Jones
of Overland Park; daughter, Jennifer Brentano of Shawnee; grandchildren,
Allison and Nathan Brentano of Shawnee, and Isaac T. Jones of Burrton; and
sister, Jeanneen Jones of Dallas.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Catherine Woods
and Marilyn Tontz.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kaufman Funeral
Home in Halstead. The family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Burrton
United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Frank Morgan officiating.
Burial will follow at Burrton Cemetery in Burrton.
Memorials may be given to Burrton United Methodist church in
care of Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.
