Janet Ann 'Janny' Morris
Janet Ann 'Janny' Morris, 64, died Monday (Oct. 19, 2009) at
Newton Medical Center. She was born on Dec. 17, 1944, in Salina to Emet and
Jane Ann (Seaman) Stewart. Janet had a strong faith in God and was a member of
the L'Chaim B'Yesua congregation in Wichita. She was a creative artist and
enjoyed painting, crafts and pottery. Janny shared her craft and art creations
with everyone. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed her friends. She
gave freely of her time and talent.
Family was very important to Janet, and she greatly looked
forward to spending time with her children, sisters and grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters, Jane Diaz and Andrea Wise, both
of Newton; son, Chris Morris of Newton; father, Emet Stewart of Littleton,
Colo.; sisters, Betsy Kaiser of Portland, Ore., Laurie Baughan of Scottsdale,
Ariz., and Sally Cornwell of Littleton, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Ann (Seaman)
Stewart.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen
Funeral Home in Newton, with family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home,
with Elder Hubie Shorb of L'Chaim B'Yesua of Wichita officiating.
Private family burial will be conducted at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to L'Chaim B'Yesua in
care of the funeral home.
