Councilwoman Frances Mae (Heine) Lowrey, 94, of Oklahoma City, passed
away Saturday (Nov. 4, 2017) in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Frances was born May 14, 1923, in
Newton to John and Lulu Belle Heine. She attended Newton public
schools and married Charles Newton Lowrey.
She was well-known in Oklahoma City
politics and served two terms on the Oklahoma City Council beginning
in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Linda and Vernon Sallaska of McLoud, Oklahoma; son and
daughter-in-law, John and Jane Lowrey of Del City, Oklahoma;
grandchildren: John Lowrey of Del City, Shana Sallaska of Richardson,
Texas and Megan Cobb of McLoud; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Cobb;
brother, Alan Heine of Walton; and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m.
Thursday (Nov. 9, 2017) at Sunny Lane Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.
Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
