Otis Frank Schmidt
Otis Frank Schmidt, 90, died Tuesday (Sept. 8, 2009) at
Moundridge Manor. He was born on Oct. 25, 1918, in Marion County to Pete Tobias
and Lena Koehn Schmidt. He was a lathe operator for Hesston Corp. He married
Elizabeth Toews on Nov. 18, 1956, in Inman. She survives of Moundridge. Other
survivors include sons, Robert Schmidt of Hutchinson, Marlin Schmidt of El
Dorado Springs, Mo., and Calvin Schmidt of Arthur, Ill.; daughters, Ruth
Schmidt and Sara Wiens, both of Arthur, and Carol Holdeman of Cole Camp, Mo.;
and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Moundridge
Funeral Home in Moundridge, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gospel Church
of God in Christ, Mennonite, in Moundridge.
Burial will be at Lone Tree Church Cemetery in Galva.
Memorials may be given to Moundridge Manor or Mercy
Hospital, both in care of the funeral home.
