Flora H Dillman
HALSTEAD -- Flora H. Dillman, 94, homemaker, died Monday (May 10, 2004) in Newton.
She was born Aug. 27, 1909, to Jepson M. and Elizabeth M. (Bates) Hawkins in Smith County. They preceded her in death. She married Loy Dillman June 21, 1937, in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death Feb. 18, 1994.
She was a member of Ruth-Wilson American Legion Post No. 231 Auxiliary of Halstead.
Survivors include: a son, Daryl Max Dillman of Hamilton, Ohio; a daughter, Judith A. Palmer of Newton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by: a daughter, Nancy Kay Franz; a grandson, Terry Palmer; three brothers, Milo Hawkins, Eldon Hawkins, and Ormel Hawkins; and four sisters, Erma Ferguson, Velma Mosley, Verda Lloyd and Dorothea Moore.
Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Halstead Cemetery with the Rev. Nancy Lambing officiating.
