SALINA—Crystal Ann (Maurath) Whaley,
25, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at Salina.
She was born Sept. 7, 1992 at Wichita
to Keith and Kathy (Macari) Maurath. They survive of Halstead.
She was a member of Aldersgate United
Methodist Church, Wichita and First United Methodist Church,
Halstead.
In 2011 she graduated from Halstead
High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary
Education from Emporia State University in 2015.
She was a second-grade teacher at
Sunset Elementary, Salina.
On July 9, 2016 she married Dalton L.
Whaley at Halstead. He survives.
Other survivors include a brother Riley
Maurath, and sister Victoria Maurath both of Halstead; grandparents
Victor and Letha Macari, Canton; Henry and Sharon Maurath, Oakley;
and her feline furbabies Snickers and Twix.
Funeral services are scheduled for
10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21 at First United Methodist Church,
Halstead with Pastors Sang Hak Lee and Kim Dickerson-Oard
officiating.
Burial will follow at Halstead
Cemetery, Halstead.
Memorials may be given to Sunset
Elementary School or Salina Animal Shelter in care of Kaufman Funeral
Home, Halstead.
