Obituary
Kenneth Lloyd Frey, 85, went home for
Christmas on Thursday (Nov. 30, 2017). Ken was born Jan. 20, 1931, in
Newton to Mildor and Frieda (Schwartz) Frey. He passed away at Pine
Village Retirement Center, Moundridge.
He was preceded in death by his life
partner and wife, Lois; and his parents, Mildor and Frieda Frey.
He is survived by daughters: Stephanie
(Frey) Flaming and spouse Delbert, Wichita, Vickie (Frey) Unrau and
spouse Lynel, Goessel, Joyce (Frey) Vaconcells and spouse Roger,
Sykesville, Maryland; and sons, Emory Frey and spouse Rhonda,
Clearwater and Russ (Russell) Frey and spouse Cindy, Hesston.
His great joy was his 10 grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren, including granddaughters: Angela
(Flaming) Heckrotte and spouse David, Ashley (Unrau) Bingham and
spouse Andy, Kristin (Frey) Barber and spouse Kory, Monica (Frey)
Fahrenholtz and spouse Sam, Brianna (Unrau) Combs and spouse Preston,
Kelcie (Frey) Spencer and spouse Riley, and Megan Frey; grandsons:
Chad Unrau and spouse Mindy, Scott Flaming and spouse Kristi, and
Jason Frey; great-granddaughters: Emily Flaming, Lucy Bingham and
Kenslee Barber; and great-grandsons: Chase Barber, Kayden Spencer,
Wyatt James Heckrotte and Silas Combs. Other survivors include
sisters, Darlene Goering, Moundridge and Mildred Leeper, Hutchinson.
Memorial service will be held at 11
a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 6, 2017) at Hesston Mennonite Brethren Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday (Dec. 5, 2017), with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ott
Funeral Home, Hesston.
