Mary 'Evelyn' (Royer) Lawrence
Mary 'Evelyn' (Royer) Lawrence of Newton passed away
Wednesday (Nov. 11, 2009) after 98 wonderful years.
Evelyn was born on Oct. 20, 1911, in Harvey County, the
oldest of 12 children of Alvin and Ella (Pierce) Royer.
She married Bill Lawrence and lived in Wichita all their
married life until he died in 1970.
They had one daughter, Patricia, who died on June 12, 2004.
Evelyn is survived by one sister, Helen Hinshaw Welborn of
Kansas City; brothers, Max Royer of Phoenix and Gary Royer of Newton; grandson,
Christopher Boley of Panama City, Fla.; five great-grandchildren; four
great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard,
Kenneth, Gaylon and Keith; sisters, Ethel Mae, Josephine, Doreen Lietzke and
Betty Smith; and grandson, Patrick Kim Boley.
There will be a private graveside service at a later date.
Memorials may be designated to the donation of your choice.
Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center is in charge of
arrangements.
