Bonnie B. Wance
BURNS - Bonnie B. Wance, 81, died on Friday (Nov. 13, 2009)
at her residence in Burns.
She was born on May 29, 1928, in Newton to Sidney and Hazel
(Ruick) Partridge.
On June 21, 1947, she married Harold E. Wance in Emporia.
They shared 62 years together, and he survives of their home.
Bonnie enjoyed gardening and tending flowers.
Family was very important to Bonnie, and she looked forward
to shopping trips and visits with her daughters and grandchildren.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to the Passion Play in
Arkansas. She had a passion for watching golf on TV and would excitedly cheer
on her favorite player. She also was a lady of quiet and devoted faith who will
be missed by her loving family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of Burns; two daughters, Jo
Dee Jones of Keller, Texas, and Terry Buller of Burns; a brother, Joseph
Partridge of Carrollton, Texas; three grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bruce
Wance; nine brothers, Jack Partridge, Bill Partridge, Henry Partridge, Paul
Partridge, Russell Partridge, Donald Partridge, Warren Partridge, Bruce
Partridge and Ralph Partridge; and two sisters, Mary Ann Reese and Virginia
Partridge.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Peterson
Funeral Home in Newton, with family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Petersen
Funeral Home with Chaplain Mark Somerville of Hospice Care of Kansas in Newton
presiding.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Memorial may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas or the
Leukemia Society in care of the funeral home.
