Obituary
Francis C. "Chick" Seyfried
Jr., 89, died Sunday (Dec. 17, 2017) in rural Goessel. He was born
Feb. 16, 1928, the son of Francis and Helen (Quigg) Seyfried Sr.
He served in the United States Marine
Corps for 30 years and was a handyman for 20 years. He was a member
of Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson. He married Beth Hague on Nov.
28, 1952. She died Feb. 1, 1999.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra
(Calvin) Grubb, rural Goessel; a sister, Geraldine, Catasauqua,
Pennsylvania; one grandchild; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; and a brother, Donald.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7
p.m., Wednesday (Dec. 20, 2017) at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Goessel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 21, 2017)
at Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson, with burial to be held at 2
p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, with military rites.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Sanctuary
Renovation, in care of the funeral home.
