Carl Dillman
Carl Dillman, Rt. 1, Halstead, pioneer Harvey County farmer, died suddenly Monday evening at his home in Macon Township following a heart attack. He was 65.
Mr. Dillman, son of the late W. T. and Agnes Dillman, was born Feb. 7, 1889, at Hesston and had spent most of his life in the county.
He was married Feb. 16, 1910 at Halstead to Marie Bergen, who survives.
In addition to his widow, survivors include two sons, Loy of Halstead and Melvin of Newton; two daughters, Mrs. George (Gladys) Spain of Russell, Kas., and Mrs. J. M. (Helen) Corbin of Hill City; one sister, Mrs. C. M. Zimmerman of Newton; five brothers, Charley and Howard of Halstead, Dearmin of Hesston, Dewey of Chanute and Lawrence of Emporia; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Mennonite Church in Halstead. The Rev. C. H. Coppedge will officiate and burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
Mr. Dillman may be seen at Draper's Funeral Home until Thursday morning.
