Sandra Stahly
Obituary
Sandra Sue (Koerner) Stahly, 74, passed
away Monday (Dec. 25, 2017).
She was born May 24, 1943, in Newton,
the daughter of A.C. and Hazel (Hickerson) Koerner. She was a 1961
graduate of Newton High School.
She was very active in her children's
sports, activities and their 4-H endeavors. Her passions included
sewing, her many pets, being outside and spending time with her
children and grandchildren.
Sandra married Benjamin H. Stahly on
Oct. 26, 1968, in Newton. He preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 2013.
Survivors include four children: Nicolette (Stahly) Leiby, Lenexa;
Shellie Stahly, Topeka; Rory Stahly, Lenexa and Cary Stahly and wife,
Diana, Topeka; grandchildren: Jerica Leiby, New York; Jillian Leiby,
Lenexa and Carter Stahly and Quinn Stahly, Topeka; and siblings,
Kathleen (Kay) Perkins, Newton and Beverly (Joan) Tice, Wichita.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; sister, Alice Baumgartner; and brother, Charles Koerner.
The family will receive friends at 10
a.m. Saturday (Dec. 30, 2017), followed by the celebration of her
life at 11 a.m. at the Klasse Chapel at the First United Methodist
Church, 600 SW Topeka Ave., Topeka, KS 66603.
