Arlene E. Berner, 86, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday (March 31, 2011) at Lemay Avenue Health and Rehab Center in Ft. Collins.

She was born on Aug. 23, 1924, in Newton to Hermas and Esther (Tangeman) Eby.

She was a magnificent cook and baker and had a way of making every family gathering and holiday memorable. To be invited to her table was a treat not soon forgotten. Her home was a place where girls were taught to be gracious hosts and boys were taught impeccable manners.
