Obituary
Lila Ruth Yadon, 67, passed away
Tuesday (Dec. 26, 2017) at her home in Newton.
Lila was born April 20, 1950, to Fred
and Betty Burden in Jacksonville, Florida. She served in the U.S.
Navy for four years, during which she met Michael Yadon, and they
were married Feb. 14, 1975.
A long-time member of the church of
Christ, Lila had a servant's heart. Happiest when serving others, she
was dedicated to her husband and children, and was blessed with three
grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
In recent years, Lila had suffered
multiple strokes, various cardiac and pulmonary problems, kidney and
liver failure and dementia.
She is survived by her husband of more
than 42 years; daughter, Michelle (Tim) Davies of Colorado Springs,
Colorado; son, Christopher of Allentown, Pennsylvania; grandchildren:
Sadalynn Kelley, Suzanna Kelley and Shane Davies;
great-granddaughter, RaeLynn Kelley; her sister, Betty Ann Wilson;
brother, John Burden; and nieces and nephews.
Interment to be at the Kansas Veterans
Home, Winfield, at a later date.
