Harry Kenton Swank

(August 15, 1928 - December 3, 2013)

Hesston- Harry Kenton Swank, Jr., 85, passed away on December 3, 2013 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. He was born on August 15, 1928 in Poplar, Montana the son of Harry Kenton and Georgia Molee Brown Swank, Sr. He was a farmer and rancher in northeast Montana later retiring to Sebring, Florida. He was a member of the Farmer's Union, Nemont Rural Electric, Coop Store Board, Soil Conservation, Grandview Church of Brethren, Florida Flywheelers where he had served as President, Big Sky Church, and Sebring Church of the Brethren. On January 1, 1950 he married Viola Elizabeth Hollenberg at Sebring, Florida. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Ken and Barb Swank of Hesston, Barb and Arlon Fishburn of Hesston, Don and Cheri Swank of Hesston, Kathy and Gene Ewert of Neodesha, KS, Carol and Brian Unruh of Ft. Worth, Texas, Wanda and Scott Miller of Hesston, 1 brother Charles Swank, 2 sisters, Joyce Privera Stutzman, and Anna Mae Harner all of Florida, 24 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Swank, Sr. and Georgia Brown Swank. There will be no visitation. Memorial Services will be held at the Kingdom Life Ministries Church, Hesston on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Scott Miller officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Grandview Cemetery, Froid, Montana. Memorials may be sent to either Our Father's Farm, Holden, MO or Harden Hospice in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 107 S. Lancaster P.O. Box 32, Hesston, KS 67062
