Dr. Lyle B. Anderson
Lyle B. Anderson, M.D., 81, of Bloomington, Ind., passed
away Nov. 19, 2009, while visiting family in Kansas.
He was born on Aug. 15, 1928, in Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joy D. and Pearl;
wife Johanna Suderman Anderson; and six siblings.
Lyle graduated from The University of Kansas Medical School
in 1960 and practiced medicine in Holyrood and Great Bend during a span of 20
years.
He lived in Bloomington for the past 26 years and was
co-owner and vice president of Indiana Pizza Huts Inc. until the company sold.
He was an avid duck hunter, a mentor and loyal friend to
many, and an enthusiastic KU sports fan. He was a talented artist in wood decoy
carving and acquired numerous ribbons in competitions, including a world-class
division.
He was a devoted husband and best friend to his wife of 33
years, Nora, of Bloomington. His love and support was unwavering for his three children,
sons Lyle Jr. (Bill) of Overland Park, Dr. Jim Anderson of Leawood and daughter
Beth Przytula of Chicago. His six grandchildren and great-granddaughter were
the pride and joy of his life. He also dearly loved and is survived by siblings
Eldo, Martha Overholt and Don, all of Newton; Paul of Oregon,; and Jennie
Beneke of California.
A private celebration of life was held by the family at
