Esther H. Vogt
Esther H. Vogt, 83, died Tuesday (May
6, 2008) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
She was born July 13, 1924, in
Moundridge, the daughter of Ben B. and Anna Behr Stucky. They
preceded her in death.
She was a cook and homemaker, a
lifetime area resident and a member of the Eden Mennonite Church in
Moundridge.
She married Weldon H. Vogt on April 24,
1945, in Moundridge. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Wayne K.
Vogt (Chris) of Hesston; a daughter, Sheryl K. Plenert of Hesston;
two brothers, Harvey J. and Raymond Stucky, both of Moundridge; two
sisters, Hulda Stucky of Salina and Edna Stucky of Moundridge; six
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a
son, Gerald Vogt, and twin granddaughters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
Thursday at Moundridge Funeral Home, with the family present from 6
to 8 pm.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m.
Friday at Eden Church Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 3
p.m. at Eden Mennonite Church with pastors David Stevens and Gail
Graber presiding.
Memorial donations may be given to Eden
Mennonite Church in care of the funeral home.
