Roland D. Stucky, M.D.
Roland D. Stucky, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Aug.
9, 2009.
Roland born on Jan. 9, 1924, in Moundridge, the ninth of 12
children born to John D. and O'Tillie Schrag Stucky. He grew up in Moundridge
and graduated from Moundridge High School.
He went to Bethel College, where he met and later married
Elaine Eymann of Reedley. He then went to medical school at The University of
Kansas.
He practiced medicine in Kingsburg, Calif., for the next 35
years, specializing in family practice and general surgery. He and Elaine
retired in Wawona in Yosemite National Park, where they lived until Elaine's
death.
Roland returned to the Kingsburg/Reedley area when he
married Ferne Boucher and lived there until his death.
He is survived by his wife of almost six years, Ferne
Boucher Stucky, and his three children and their spouses, Maureen Sinclair of
Puyallup, Wash., Patrice Flaming of Akron, Pa., and Scott Stucky of Escondido,
Calif. He also is survived by his six granddaughters, their three spouses, one
great-granddaughter, another great-grandchild on the way, and two brothers,
Melvin and LeRoy Stucky, both of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Eymann
Stucky.

First Mennonite Church in Reedley, Calif., or the donor's favorite charity.
