Sarah Saenz, 99, passed away on Saturday (Jan. 20, 2018) in Newton. She was born on Dec. 17, 1918, in Florence to Apolinar and Felisitas Rodriguez.

She is survived by her daughter, Frances Martinez; sons, Carlos (Cheryl) Saenz Jr. and Fred Saenz; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, Carlos T. Saenz Sr., and many other loved ones.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 24, 2018) at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 25, 2018), also at the church. Interment will immediately follow at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.

Memorials are suggested to Asbury Park Cottage 212 and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Baker Funeral Home of Peabody has charge.
