Smith, the conductor on the train which was wrecked in Colorado night before
last was at one time a Santa Fe conductor here twenty years ago. Mrs. L.F. Baker of this city is a sister of
his. The lists of the dead include his
name. Mrs. Helvie, who lives in the
country near Newton, is also a sister of the dead man. Mr. Smith homesteaded a claim in Highland
