Doris Ilene Hostetler
HESSTON - Doris Ilene Hostetler, 85, died Friday (July 10,
2009) at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis campus in Wichita.
Doris was born on Aug. 11, 1923, in Hutchinson to Frank and
Lizzie (Zimmerman) Hostetler. The sixth child of nine, Doris grew up in Hesston.
She attended Hesston Grade School and graduated from Hesston Academy in 1941.
She was a lifetime member of Hesston Mennonite Church. She
lived in Hesston until her death.
Doris is survived by three sisters, Virgie Headings of
Hutchinson, and Margaret Hostetler and Irene (Gilbert) Koehn, all of Hesston;
one brother, Kenneth (Dora) Hostetler of Hesston; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Miller Funeral
Home in Hesston, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hesston Cemetery,
followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Hesston Mennonite Church, with
Pastor Cheryl Hershberger officiating.
