VERNON E. SCHROEDER
Vernon Erwin Schroeder, 91, Liberty, Missouri, passed away
April 10th, 2014 surrounded by his family.
Vernon was born February 14th, 1923 in Newton, Kansas to
Jacob and Anna Schroeder. He married Adelaide Lies in 1947 and had three daughters.
Vernon owned and operated Hurst, Inc. for over fifty
years. He enjoyed family, friends, neighbors, fishing, his
dogs and giving away home grown tomatoes. He always had time for a friendly
conversation.
Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Adelaide, his
parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
He is survived by daughters, Carol Foster and husband
Norman, Dolores Perkins, and Linda Turner and
husband Rick; seven grandchildren, Ted and wife Cristi,
Sarah, Michele, Casey, C.P. and wife Deb, Lauren and Rick; and one great
grandchild, Gabe.
We will celebrate Vernon's life with visitation from 5:00 pm
until 6:30 pm, followed by the rosary at
6:30 pm, on Sunday, April 13th, at Park Lawn Northland
Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Mass of Christian burial will be held
at 12 noon Monday, April 14th, at St. James Catholic Church, 309 South
Stewart Road, Liberty. Burial will follow in Resurrection
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the
St. James Catholic Church.
